How to download your NAB statement as a PDF

In the NAB app, select the account, tap "Statements", choose the statement date, then "Ok" and "Share" to save it. In NAB Internet Banking, go to "Accounts" and then "Account statements", choose the account and date range, click "Search", select up to 25 statements and click "Download".

Tips for converting NAB statements

The NAB app shows 2 years of statements, while Internet Banking goes back 7 years, so use a computer for older months. NAB also keeps up to 7 years of statements for closed accounts online if you opted into online statements before closing.

What you get

  • Excel with real dates and numbers you can sort, filter and total, plus a summary sheet.
  • QuickBooks: a .qbo Web Connect file or the 3-column CSV for bank uploads. See PDF to QBO.
  • Xero CSV, OFX/QFX for Quicken and other tools, or plain CSV.
  • A reconciliation check: opening balance + money in − money out = closing balance.

Converting a lot of statements every month? Plans start at $9/month for 500 pages.

FAQ

Can I convert NAB statements to Excel?
Yes. Upload the PDF statement from NAB and download an Excel, CSV, QBO, Xero or OFX file. The first 5 pages every day are free.
Does it work with NAB credit card and business statements?
Yes. Checking, savings, business and credit card statements all work. The AI reads the layout, so it doesn't depend on a template.
How do I know the conversion is right?
Each result is checked against the statement: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and running balances are checked row by row.
Are my statements stored?
No. Files are processed in memory and the rows go straight back to your browser. We keep only metadata like the page count for billing.
