How to download your Lloyds Bank statement as a PDF
In the Lloyds app, select the account, open the three-dot menu and choose "Download or print statement". You can also tap the download icon above your recent transactions and pick the month and year. In online banking, select "Statement options" from the account page and choose to download or print. For a credit card, download the PDF in the app, or ask for one through online chat.
Can Lloyds Bank export Excel or CSV directly?
Lloyds' Online for Business help says business customers can export transactions as CSV or QIF: select "Statement" options, then "Export transactions (CSV, QIF)". On the older layout, select "View statement" next to the account first. Personal customers can download a midata file, which Lloyds describes as a 12-month transaction history of a personal current account for use with comparison sites. In online banking, select "More Actions" next to the current account, expand "Account Services", choose "Midata Export" and then "Start download". The personal help pages we checked don't describe a CSV export, so for a personal account the PDF statement is the way to get more than 12 months of history.
What a Lloyds Bank statement looks like
Lloyds publishes an Easy Read guide to the words used on its bank statements, and it explains the transaction codes. BGC, FPI (Faster Payment In) and DEP mark money paid in. FPO (Faster Payment Out) is money taken out, sometimes shown as a bill payment, BP. DEB is a debit card payment, DD a Direct Debit, SO a standing order, CPT a cash machine withdrawal, CSH cash paid in or taken out in a branch, CHQ a cheque, CHG a charge, and TFR a transfer between your own Lloyds accounts. Lloyds says the online version of a paper-free statement looks exactly the same as the one you would get in the post.
Tips for converting Lloyds Bank statements
Lloyds says online banking holds statements up to 7 years old and the app at least ten years, so the app is the place to go for the oldest months.
