How to download your Monzo statement as a PDF

In the Monzo app, go to "Home", tap the three dots under your card and choose "Bank statements", then pick a date range and a format (PDF, CSV or QIF). Monzo Business accounts use Home, then "Manage", then "Bank statements".

Can Monzo export Excel or CSV directly?

Monzo's help says the "Bank statements" export includes your Pots. Monzo Business customers on the web can also use the "Export statement" button on the home screen. On Business Pro or Team, "Auto-export documents" saves last month's statement to Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive on the 1st of each month in PDF, CSV or QIF, and "Auto-export live transactions" fills a Google Sheet. Those plans also get bank feeds to FreeAgent, Sage and Xero. Monzo's help says past transactions sync only when you first connect, up to 12 months back; after that, older ones go in as an uploaded CSV statement. The QuickBooks link uses Open Banking and doesn't sync payments made directly from a Pot.

Tips for converting Monzo statements

Monzo can export CSV directly, so you may not need a converter for your own records. Convert the PDF when that's what you have, such as a statement someone sent you, or when you want QuickBooks, Xero or OFX files with a balance check.

What you get

  • Excel with real dates and numbers you can sort, filter and total, plus a summary sheet.
  • QuickBooks: a .qbo Web Connect file or the 3-column CSV for bank uploads. See PDF to QBO.
  • Xero CSV, OFX/QFX for Quicken and other tools, or plain CSV.
  • A reconciliation check: opening balance + money in − money out = closing balance.

Converting a lot of statements every month? Plans start at $9/month for 500 pages.

FAQ

Can I get a Monzo statement after my account is closed?
When Monzo closes your account, it emails you a password-protected statement with your full payment transaction history and texts you the password. If you need one later, Monzo has a request form for UK accounts: give your details, the dates you need and a selfie holding your ID or a note with today's date. Monzo aims to reply within 2 working days, but it can take up to 7.
Do Monzo statements need to be stamped for a mortgage application?
Monzo says its bank statements are original documents, so you shouldn't need them stamped or signed for a mortgage or visa application. If a lender still wants a posted copy, or a stamped and signed one, you can ask Monzo for it. On a business account, search "getting a business bank statement" under Help in the app and tap "Get in touch".
Do Monzo statements include Pots?
Yes. Monzo's help says the "Bank statements" download includes your Pots. On business accounts, money moved to and from a Tax Pot shows in the main statement, with its own section at the end. For a Pot you've closed, go to the Pots section on Home, tap the three dots and choose "Archived Pots", where its past statements can still be downloaded.
Can I convert Monzo statements to Excel?
Yes. Upload the PDF statement from Monzo and download an Excel, CSV, QBO, Xero or OFX file. The first 5 pages every day are free.
Does it work with Monzo credit card and business statements?
Yes. Checking, savings, business and credit card statements all work. The AI reads the layout, so it doesn't depend on a template.
How do I know the conversion is right?
Each result is checked against the statement: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and running balances are checked row by row.
Are my statements stored?
No. Files are processed in memory and the rows go straight back to your browser. We keep only metadata like the page count for billing.
