How to download your First Citizens Bank statement as a PDF

Log in to First Citizens Digital Banking at firstcitizens.com or in the First Citizens mobile app, which First Citizens says gives access to account statements and tax documents. For business accounts, First Citizens' FAQ points to the "Statements & Documents" link in Digital Banking for Business. Statements open in a pop-up window, so if nothing appears, allow pop-ups for Digital Banking in your browser and check that Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed.

Can First Citizens Bank export Excel or CSV directly?

First Citizens' digital banking fee schedule lists Quicken and QuickBooks access via Web Connect at no charge, with enrollment in First Citizens Digital Banking required. A separate Quicken and QuickBooks table lists monthly fees, such as $5.95 for Quicken and $11.95 for QuickBooks with 8 sessions a month. The business FAQ says Digital Banking for Business can download transaction history in Excel formats. For a Quicken file, open the account, select the "Filter" icon, choose "Custom Date", set the range, select "Apply Filters", then the download arrow and qfx. Use the PDF statement when you need the official monthly record.

Tips for converting First Citizens Bank statements

First Citizens offers paperless statements for checking, savings, credit card and home equity line accounts. Primary Checking requires you to sign up for electronic statements within 60 days of opening, or it converts to Select Checking, which lists a $3 paper statement fee.

What you get

  • Excel with real dates and numbers you can sort, filter and total, plus a summary sheet.
  • QuickBooks: a .qbo Web Connect file or the 3-column CSV for bank uploads. See PDF to QBO.
  • Xero CSV, OFX/QFX for Quicken and other tools, or plain CSV.
  • A reconciliation check: opening balance + money in − money out = closing balance.

FAQ

Is Silicon Valley Bank part of First Citizens?
Yes. First Citizens acquired Silicon Valley Bank, and in Q4 2026 SVB's Technology and Healthcare Banking division became First Citizens Innovation Banking. First Citizens says nothing has changed in how or where those clients bank, and SVB accounts aren't serviced in First Citizens branches, so keep using the online banking you already use for those statements.
Why can't I open my First Citizens statement?
First Citizens says the pop-up window that shows your statement is often blocked by a browser or toolbar pop-up blocker. Allow pop-ups for Digital Banking in your browser settings, and if the statement still won't open, check that Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed.
Why did my First Citizens statements stop coming monthly?
First Citizens' deposit account agreement says a checking or savings account with no deposits or withdrawals for 12 months becomes inactive, and statements then come semi-annually instead of monthly. Any undelivered statements are still available on request.
Can I convert First Citizens Bank statements to Excel?
Yes. Upload the PDF statement from First Citizens Bank and download an Excel, CSV, QBO, Xero or OFX file. The first 5 pages every day are free.
Does it work with First Citizens Bank credit card and business statements?
Yes. Checking, savings, business and credit card statements all work. The AI reads the layout, so it doesn't depend on a template.
How do I know the conversion is right?
Each result is checked against the statement: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and running balances are checked row by row.
Are my statements stored?
No. Files are processed in memory and the rows go straight back to your browser. We keep only metadata like the page count for billing.
