How to download your Truist statement as a PDF

Sign in to Truist Online Banking and open "Documents" to find your statements, then choose the account and statement period and save the PDF. Truist says its online or mobile banking is required to access paperless online statements.

Can Truist export Excel or CSV directly?

Truist's Online and Mobile Banking Service Agreement describes Download Services, which send information from Online Banking or Direct Connect into Quicken, QuickBooks and other software. Direct Connect carries a fee. Downloads leave out pending transactions, and Truist says downloaded data is for tracking only, while statements generated by Truist are the sole official record of transactions and balances. For small business accounts, Truist's site says you can download or print up to 18 months of account history. In our check, Truist's public pages don't list a CSV download or a date range for personal accounts.

Tips for converting Truist statements

Online history differs by product. Truist's disclosures list 7 years for deposit accounts but 2 years for credit cards, so ask Truist for copies if you need older card statements. Former BB&T and SunTrust statements convert the same way as current Truist ones.

What you get

  • Excel with real dates and numbers you can sort, filter and total, plus a summary sheet.
  • QuickBooks: a .qbo Web Connect file or the 3-column CSV for bank uploads. See PDF to QBO.
  • Xero CSV, OFX/QFX for Quicken and other tools, or plain CSV.
  • A reconciliation check: opening balance + money in − money out = closing balance.

Converting a lot of statements every month? Plans start at $9/month for 500 pages.

FAQ

Is a Truist Quicken or QuickBooks download an official record?
No. Truist's Online and Mobile Banking Service Agreement says downloaded information is for tracking purposes only and that statements generated by Truist are the sole official record of transactions, positions and balances. A download also leaves out pending transactions and only reflects your account as of the moment you download it.
Does Truist charge for Quicken?
Truist's personal deposit fee schedule lists Quicken at $7.95 a month for personal accounts and $9.95 a month for clients who combine business and personal accounts. It says there is no fee for Quicken access with Truist Marquee Checking and Truist AMA accounts. Online banking and paperless online statements have no charge.
Why does my Truist statement include more than one account?
Truist's account overview for Truist One Checking says statements are provided monthly and may be combined with other deposit accounts. If you get a consolidated statement and switch to online statements, every account on it is enrolled for online delivery, and Truist stops sending paper statements and cancelled checks for those accounts.
Can I convert Truist statements to Excel?
Yes. Upload the PDF statement from Truist and download an Excel, CSV, QBO, Xero or OFX file. The first 5 pages every day are free.
Does it work with Truist credit card and business statements?
Yes. Checking, savings, business and credit card statements all work. The AI reads the layout, so it doesn't depend on a template.
How do I know the conversion is right?
Each result is checked against the statement: opening balance plus money in minus money out must equal the closing balance, and running balances are checked row by row.
Are my statements stored?
No. Files are processed in memory and the rows go straight back to your browser. We keep only metadata like the page count for billing.
